The Wig Opening

"The Wig" is a story that explores the themes of identity, transformation, and the power of self-expression. It is a tale of a young woman's struggle to shed the layers of her own insecurities and societal expectations, to emerge as the truest version of herself - scarred, yet beautiful, resilient, and unbound.

Part I: The Introduction

Meg, a young woman scarred both physically and emotionally by the cruel abuse of her former lover, has retreated into a self-imposed exile. Concealing her deformities beneath a wig, she finds herself trapped in the gilded cage of her overprotective mother's "protection." Meg's journey of self-discovery is one of shedding the layers of insecurity and societal expectations that have long since smothered her spirit. As she begins to tentatively explore the world beyond her sheltered confines, Meg will face a pivotal choice - to remain hidden behind the mask of her wig, or to embrace the vulnerability of revealing her true self. This first part of the series will delve deep into Meg's character, her struggles with identity and self-acceptance, and the complex dynamics of her relationship with her well-meaning yet stifling mother.

My goal:

This will introduce the main character as we are diving deeper into her likes and personality. This will be a 15-20 minute film with a cliffhanger and the end. This film will determine if we are ready to film part 2. After the film is finished I want to publish it to film festivals for a marketing distribution agency to get more funds or get crowdfunding for our next projects. The actor will be in prosthetic makeup because the character has a condition they will be a different perspective with and without the makeup POV. We don’t have a date.
